The 11th CNHUPO Congress, an academic event in the field of proteomics research, was held on October 13-15, 2021 in Wuhan. Focusing on "Proteomics-Driven Precision Medicine", the conference attracted more than 150 academicians, senior experts at home and abroad and more than 1100 representatives from more than 300 units across the country to share and discuss the latest scientific research achievements of proteomics, so as to seek future research directions and solutions for major human health problems.

The conference was sponsored by the Professional Committee of Proteomics of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (CNHUPO), and co-hosted by the College of Life Sciences of Hubei University, National Center for Protein Sciences, Beijing, the State key Laboratory of Proteomics, and the Beijing Proteome Research Center. Academician Fuchu He, president of the National Center for Protein Sciences, Beijing, served as honorary chairman of the conference, researcher Jun Qin, chairman of CNHUPO, and Lixin Ma, dean of the School of Life Sciences of Hubei University, served as co-chairmen. This congress covered the fields of protein identification, quantitative, functional and structural proteomics, modified proteomics, computational proteomics and biological big data involved in microbiology, plants, animals and our human health research."Training in new technologies of proteomics" and seminars for young scholars of CNHUPO , as well as exhibitions and exhibitions of instruments, equipment, reagents and new technologies related to biochemistry and molecular biology, proteomics and translational medicine were held at the same time.

The conference officially opened on the afternoon of the 13th. Academician Lin Li, president of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, delivered a speech on behalf of the first-level society, announced the results of the change of the professional committee on proteomics, and issued a letter of appointment to Ping Xu, the new chairman of the CNHUPO.

Academician Fuchu He, Academician Lin Li, Academician Zihe Rao, Academician Yukui Zhang, Academician Benzhong Tang, Academician Tony Hunter of the American Academy of Sciences, Academician Ming Li of the Royal Society of Canada, Academician Bernard Malissen of the French Academy of Sciences, Academician Albert Heck of the Royal Society of the Netherlands, researcher Jun Qin of National Center for Protein Sciences, Beijing, researcher Xianen Zhang, Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Yingming Zhao of the University of Chicago, Professor Junmin Peng of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the United States, Professor Bernhard Küster of the Technical University of Munich in Germany and other experts were invited to attend the meeting and delivered keynote reports on the cutting-edge innovation and latest breakthroughs in the field of proteomics.

The third meeting of the fourth CNHUPO Professional Committee and the first meeting of the Fifth Professional Committee were successfully held during the session, and the new chairman, researcher Ping Xu, made a systematic summary and report on the work of the Special Committee from 2016 to 2021. At the meeting, it was discussed to set up the Society's " Pengyuan Yang Education Fund" and the CNHUPO academic Revitalization Award, which will be awarded by Haojie Lu, vice chairman of CNHUPO, and Professor Yu Xue, deputy secretary-general of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In order to promote the close integration of basic research and clinical needs, the committee members agreed to set up a clinical proteomics testing working group to achieve full coverage of the proteomics-driven precision medical paradigm under the guidance of clinical needs and clinical transformation.

In order to exchange and summarize the experience of international scientific plan, the development goals of coagulating proteomics, further promote the cultivation of international major scientific programs in proteomics, the conference convened the topic seminar for proteomics. The meeting invited Linhao Chen，the deputy director of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, multidisciplinary field expert, scholar. The meeting focused on the international major scientific program organizes management model, proteomics-driven precision medical research and the implementation plan of the proteomic international major scientific program, etc.Subsequently, Linhao Chen deputy director made a guiding speech, focusing on the background of the times of the lead international scientific program, the typical characteristics of the international scientific plan, the advantages of the life sciences, the advantages of international scientific programs, promote the promotion of proteomic international scientific programs,the necessity and how to promote the implementation of proteomal international scientific programs, landing through organization management, research objectives and programs, technical platform support. The conference came to an end in the afternoon of the 15th. The closing ceremony was hosted by the new Secretary-General of CNHUPO, and the researcher of the Westlake University.
