Dr. Yu-Ju Chen is a distinguished scientist and researcher, currently serving as a Distinguished Research Fellow and the Director of the Genomics Research Center at the Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the National Taiwan University. Dr. Chen's research primarily focuses on the development of innovative mass spectrometry-based techniques and methodologies to analyze and understand complex biological systems, particularly in the areas of proteomics, lipidomics, and metabolomics. Dr. Chen's research achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award in 2015, the prestigious Ho-Am Prize in Science in 2017, and the Taiwan Protein Society's Academic Achievement Award in 2019. She has also been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
